THE SAYINGS OF THE BROOK
REFLECTION AND LESSONS LEARNED
The poem indicates the difference between
nature and human life. Human life is short-lived, while nature is enduring. The
fact that life is short triggers a man to live life to the fullest. We are only
a sightseer in God’s garden, which is the Earth. Our days are limited which is
why we should fulfill our duties. On the other hand, we can also tell that the
brook represents us in the sense that life is full of hurdles, but we need to
continue wherever it brings us. When we encounter different situations, the best
thing to deal with it is to go with the flow like how the brook runs with its
path. However, we are not really like a
brook who lives and endure forever.
We
do not live longer; we do not know if there is reincarnation, but the brook
when dried, will soon join the river. Here, we can tell that even if nature changes and dries for a certain time, they will still come back when the
season is right. Therefore, God is so great that he provides us with nature
the endures and lives forever. A man should take care of it, for it will be passed down through ages.
Here are the lessons we can learn from the poem:
- Man is only a sightseer of Earth, no one lives eternally.
- Life is short, live it purposely.
- Nature is astounding so treasure it.
- Man and nature are not the same.
- Learn to go with the flow in life because it will take you to places and show you wonders.
