MY NATIVE VILLAGE
This poem narrates how the
author feels toward his native village. So what is really the concept of home?
Is it the same as the author’s perception of what his native village was all
about?
Based
on my own point of view, home is where you left your heart at. It is a place
and a feeling that you always wanted to stay. It is where we learn our first
word, first walk, and first play. In relation to the author’s poem, I can say
that my perception of home and his definition of his native village consist of
the same characteristics. Wherever we may go, we cannot deny the fact that
engraved inside our hearts is a missing jigsaw puzzle, and that is the longing of
our home. As I have stated earlier, home can be a feeling as well. Home as
a feeling is the touch of emotion that caresses our soul. This feeling can be
felt in the arms of our special someone, a friend, and a family. Therefore, a
home is a place and a feeling that we always long for.
Here are the lessons I have learned from the poem:
- There is no place like home.
- Home is where our heart lies.
- Memories from our home are forever kept inside us
- Always look back to where you come from.
